REPORT FROM DBEDT – HONOLULU – The Department of Business, Economic Development, and Research (DBEDT) has launched the online Tax Credit Research Activity (TCRA) Survey (DBEDT Form 346) at dbedt.hawaii.gov. This online form, to be filed by qualified high technology businesses, was mandated by the Legislature for businesses that want to claim a high tech tax credit.
“By putting the form online, we are giving Hawaii businesses a greater level of convenience and ease,” said DBEDT Director Richard C. Lim. “Electronic submissions reduce paper waste and make data analysis much more efficient.
“This is another sign of the Abercrombie Administration’s transformation of state government – efficiently providing resources and services – which has put Hawaii at the national forefront of making online convenience a priority across all state departments.”
The form was created quickly and within budget for DBEDT, in partnership with Hawaii Information Consortium, LLC, the official Internet portal manager of eHawaii.gov.
Hawaii’s official Internet portal, ehawaii.gov, is managed by Hawaii Information Consortium, LLC, a Hawaii corporation and wholly owned subsidiary of eGovernment firm, NIC Inc. (EGOV). Hawaii Information Consortium partners with state and county government agencies to bring more state business online and improve public access to government information.
