REPORT FROM COURAGE HOUSE HAWAII – Human trafficking is the fastest growing and 2nd largest criminal enterprise in the world. There are over 450,000 children trapped in the sex trade in the United States. The demand for sex services from children and adolescents is growing at epidemic proportions.
There are limited aftercare resources for the children who are victims of this horrible crime. Courage Worldwide is an international non-profit organization committed to not only rescuing child victims of sex trafficking, but also to restoring their lives.
Courage Worldwide has established homes in California and Tanzania Africa- these homes are called Courage Houses. Here in Hawaii a group of local volunteers has formed a team to see a Hawaii House established.
There are currently no homes in Hawaii for child victims of sex trafficking.
Courage House Hawaii will be a comprehensive, holistic, aftercare home meeting the needs of this unique population of young girls.
The vision of this home is one of true peace and hope, designed as the ideal “home” not a sterile traditional group home or treatment facility setting. Courage House offers each resident a unique life plan (ULP) that brings healing to her mind, body, spirit, and emotions.
The Courage House Hawaii team is working to establish a home for girls that have fallen victim to sex traffickers here, in our islands.
Event includes dinner, auctions, live entertainment – featuring Kapala.
Saturday, September 8th, 5:00pm at Sunset Ranch in Pupukea on Oahu’s north shore 59-777 Pupukea Road, Haleiwa
