Joel Osteen, one of the most famous Christian ministers in the country, shared details about his upcoming trip to Hawaii with Hawaii Reporter in a recent exclusive interview.

Joel Osteen and his wife Victoria, who have many friends in Hawaii but who have never held an event here, will hold a “A Night of Hope” on Friday, February 3, at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Blaisdell Arena.

Each program, which includes a matinee and evening program, will be 2.5-hours long with music, prayer and stories. Osteen promises the night will be filled with laughter, hope and inspiration.

Osteen said his ministry is working with several local Hawaii Christian churches to promote the event.

Osteen told Hawaii Reporter if he had to sum up one message from his teaching it is “God is good and on our side and no matter what we are facing, or what mistakes made in the past, we can move forward and live a happy fulfilled life.”

“His simple message that God cares deeply for each of us and empowers us to overcome and succeed resonates with millions around the globe, bringing hope and encouragement to a world that desperately needs to hear it,” says his publicist.

The Osteens, who have millions of viewers in the U.S. and throughout the world for their weekly Christian program, and who have New York Times bestselling books, are the pastors of America’s largest church, which has 40,000 members, and is based in Houston, Texas.

While in Hawaii, Osteen will also be selling signed copy of his most recent book, Every Day A Friday, on Thursday, February 2 at 7 pm at Barnes & Noble in Kahala Mall.
