BELLEVUE, WA – Over 60 national gun rights leaders, including Senate Minority Leader Sam Slom, R-Hawaii, will be among the speakers at the 2013 Gun Rights Policy Conference on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at the Marriott Airport Hotel in Houston, Texas.

On the agenda are:
  • Emily Miller, senior opinion editor at the Washington Times and author of the just released Emily Gets Her Gun…But Obama Wants to Take Yours;
  • attorney Alan Gura, winner of both the Heller and McDonald Second Amendment cases before the U.S. Supreme Court;
  • John Fund, national affairs columnist at National Review Online and senior editor at The American Spectator, and
  • John Lott, author of the landmark More Guns = Less Crime and a Fox News.com contributor.
In addition, Second Amendment Foundation founder Alan Gottlieb, Gun Owners America executive director Larry Pratt, Independence Institute research director David Kopel and Texas State Rifle Association legislative director Alice Tripp will also address the conference.

 

Panels and sessions will include a federal affairs briefing, state legislative updates and global threats to the right to keep and bear arms. Stand your ground laws will be addressed and taking gun rights cases through the courts will dominate the agenda.

Also on the agenda will be advancing gun rights in the new media and organizing for pro-gun election and referendum victories.
The conference is jointly sponsored by the Second Amendment Foundation and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
This is the 28th annual GRPC.
The 2013 GRPC will feature more than 60 speakers on subjects ranging from politics to personal protection. The weekend event will attract more than 500 gun owners, activists and experts from across the country.
