Want to Be in Battleship? Don’t Miss the July 10, 11 or 17 Universal Casting Call on Oahu

There is a casting call July 10 and 11 on Oahu for a Universal Pictures major motion picture, directed by Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, Hancock). Casting agents need Military Personnel/Spouses and Children of all ages/ethnicities to work as paid extras.

An epic action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force, “Battleship” is based on Hasbro’s classic Naval combat game. The film stars Taylor Kitsch (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, television’s Friday Night Lights) as a Naval commander who leads the fight.

You may be needed 1- 3 days (tbd) in Sept. and/or Oct. Military personnel are required to be on leave status to participate in this film. Filming will take place on Oahu. If interested please come to Bloch Arena Basketball Court, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (from H-1, Nimitz or Kamehameha Hwys exit Naval Base. Turn right after sentry) on Saturday, July 10, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. OR Sunday, July 11, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Families please wear casual attire. Military personnel may wear their uniform and have their photo taken, or wear casual attire and bring a head shot and full-length photo of themselves in uniform. Photos will be kept on file.

  • Army: Class B
  • Marine Corps: Class C
  • Navy: Summer White (E7 & above), Service Uniform (E6 & below)
  • Coast Guard: Tropical Blue

The casting process will take only a few minutes. We’ll provide information about the movie, have you complete an application and take your photo. Phone calls will not be taken; please bring your questions to the casting call.

If you can’t make it to one of the casting calls this weekend, feel free to come to an open casting call on Saturday, July 17 at St. Andrews Cathedral (Davies Hall) 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
