Recently we were on route from Vancouver BC via Honolulu to Lihue Kauai on a special Christmas family vacation. On Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, we discovered the disappearance of our wallet after reaching Kauai and contacted the Lihue airport, Aloha Airlines and the Honolulu Airport.

The next morning we received several telephone calls that our inquiries were being worked on and that we would be contacted if the wallet was found.

Shortly thereafter we were informed that the wallet had been found intact (including several hundred dollars in cash) and would be sent to our location in Kauai via FedEx.

We ended up enjoying several Christmases this season, but certainly that good news made our day (Dec. 23) even more special (Ruth’s birthday, winner at resort bingo, lucky draw for woven basket) and reinforced our belief in the spirit of Hawaiian Aloha.

To those at Aloha Airlines and the Honolulu Airport lost-and-found, a heartfelt “Mahalo.”

Our best wishes for a happy and prosperous 2004 to all people in Hawaii.

Thank you for a great visit, hope we can be back soon.
