BY TERI L. SKILLMAN-KASHYAP – The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Library will be closed during Winter interim as part of the collective-bargaining agreement and to accommodate the reduced budget allocation from the State. Both Hamilton and Sinclair libraries will be closed Saturday, December 18 through Sunday, January 2. The Library will reopen on Monday, January 3, the week before Spring Semester begins.

During this closure, the Library will endeavor to provide access to the Library Catalog and the many electronic resources and databases to which the Library subscribes on behalf of the University community.

Although the Library’s Interlibrary Loan Office (ILL) in Hamilton Library will be closed, they will keep the ILL database running. ILL requests submitted during the closure period will be processed after January 3, 2011. There may be delays due to backlogs.

Please submit ILL requests for materials needed during Winter interim before December 1, 2010 to help insure receipt prior to December 17.

Teri L Skillman-Kashyap is the Events & Communications Coordinator for Library Services at the UH
