CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Dane Demello who is wanted for two $20,000 cash only Probation Revocation warrants for failure to comply with terms and conditions of HOPE probation.
On July 26, 2006, at approximately 5:10 p.m., a witness was driving on Kahala Avenue when she noticed a red truck that may have been involved in an earlier burglary. The witness called the police and followed the truck. The truck was being driven by a female and was being followed by a male in a white Mercury Voyager. The police located the truck and van on Moho Street and Makaiwa Street and contacted the registered owners. The owners were on vacation and did not give anyone permission to use their vehicles. The male and female were placed under arrest for Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle.
The male was identified as Dane Demello.
On October 5, 2006, an officer observed a vehicle traveling on Leahi Avenue and Hinano Street with a loud stereo and initiated a traffic stop. The officer approached the vehicle and observed a baggie with crystalline substance in the ashtray. The driver was identified as Demello and placed under arrest for Promoting Dangerous Drugs in the Third degree.
