BY BILLIE K. TAKAKI LUEDER – The Pacific Center for Advanced Technology Training (PCATT) invites the public to attend a free talk with Google Enterprise Sales Manager Steven Benson who will be sharing the cultural and technological drivers of innovation and cloud computing.
The event will be held Friday, December 10, 2010, 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Honolulu Community College on 874 Dillingham Blvd., Building 2, Room 201
Google was founded in the 1990s to organize the world‘s information and make it universally accessible and useful. As the largest search engine provider, Google has created one of the most innovative and collaborative cultures in the world.
Benson’s focus on Friday will be on cloud computing, which is internet-based computing, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices on demand, similar to an electric grid. He will also talk about Google’s philosophy on Innovation. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and has worked with PCATT’s webmaster to find solutions to best service their clientele.

The Pacific Center for Advanced Technology Training is a not-for-profit consortium of the University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges, with its headquarters at Honolulu Community College and satellite training facilities found at all community college campuses across the state.
