The Hawaii Kai and other neighboring East Oahu communities have twice expressed its opinion regarding the
proposed development of 180 “cabins” behind the Hawaii Kai Executive golf course on prime undeveloped preservation land fronting the untouched Ka Iwi Coastline — they don’t want it.

Nearly 100 percent of the people attending the mayor’s Townhall Meeting on July 12, and the Hawaii Kai Neighborhood Board meeting several weeks earlier, opposed the development. Each meeting had 300 to 350 people present.

The developer has not submitted a proposal to the city as yet, so it is
premature for the city administration to take a position. However, the developer
has issued statements to the media and all the newspapers have reported
them:
