A new activity at the Hawaii State Farm Fair this year is a game designed to teach attendees about agriculture in Hawaii. The sponsors of the game, Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation, Hawaii Agriculture Research Center, Agricultural Leadership Foundation of Hawaii, USDA-Pacific Basin Agricultural Research Center, USDA-Natural Resource Conservation Service, and Hawaii Crop Improvement Association, decided to take advantage of the crowds attending the fair and provide some education as well as fun.

The sponsors agree it is important that our general communities are more tangibly connected to their farming communities. Knowing who they are and what they do helps build appreciation and understanding of the issues facing our farmers and ranchers today. As well, agriculture is such an inherent part of Hawaii
