WCIT Architecture welcomes new team members

HONOLULU, HI  – WCIT Architecture, one of the state’s leading architecture and design firms, is pleased to announce the addition of new team members as the company continues to expand.  The following have recently joined the firm – Carl MacDonald as Senior Project Designer, Amanda Van Scoy as Project Coordinator, and Jamie Lum and Sean Baumes as Project Architects.

 

Carl MacDonald has a Masters Degree in Architecture from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and had been employed by architectural firms in British Columbia before moving to Honolulu.  He has extensive experience working on residential high rise, mixed-use, and commercial developments including Shangri-La Toronto, Azure Residential Tower in Dallas, Texas; and the First and J Street Mixed-Use Development in San Diego, California.

 

Amanda Van Scoy is a recent graduate of Kansas State University with a Masters Degree in Architecture.  While in college, in conjunction with the Design Build Summer intersession course, Van Scoy was involved in the design and construction of the Seaton Hall studio space and created construction documents, working drawings and labored in the built construction of the basement studio and hallway.

 

Jamie Lum, a graduate of the Syracuse University School of Architecture, is a LEED Accredited Professional and licensed architect in the State of Hawaii. Lum previously worked for SmithGroupJJR located in Los Angeles, California, and worked on projects which included the Roy O. Disney Corporate Legal Building, Cedars Sinai Consolidated Transplant Center, Los Angeles Harbor College Technology Building, Kaiser Medical Center, and the 164,000-square-foot classroom and lab building for the California State University Long Beach’s Hall of Science.

 

A graduate of Cornell University, Sean Baumes is a licensed architect in the State of New York.  Previously employed by Ennead Architects LLP in New York, Baumes worked on such projects as the Anderson Gallery at Stanford University, Neukom Building at the Stanford Law School, Katz Building at Dickinson School of Law at both Penn State University campuses in Carlisle and State College, and the Theological Seminary in New York.

 

WCIT Architecture has increased its staff as it continues to diversify its expertise. The company has added staff who are diverse and creative thinkers with specific expertise to support the company’s mission to create architecture that meets the specific needs of its expanding client base.
