HONOLULU, HI – Downtown coffee bar Brue Bar will host an opening reception for an exhibit by preeminent Honolulu printmaker Laura Smith. The reception will be on Wednesday, January 22nd, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The reception is open to the public, and is free of charge. Light pupus and cocktails will be served.

Smith’s exhibit, ‘Elements of the Pool, will be on display at the Brue Bar’s 119 Merchant Street location through the month of February.

Laura Smith has been active in the printmaking community in Hawaii for over 20 years. She is the former Executive Director of the Honolulu Printmakers and was one of the founders of the Honolulu Printmaking Workshop. Smith is an award winning artist whose works can be found in

numerous public and private collections, including the Honolulu Museum of Art and the Hawaii State Art Museum.

ABOUT THE BRUE BAR

Located at 119 Merchant Street within the iconic Stagenwald Building, the Brue Bar is a coffee bar serving hand-crafted coffee drinks and is an ideal setting for work, study and conversation.
