LĪHU‘E – The County of Kaua‘i Division of Purchasing has issued a professional services solicitation to procure pro bono legal representation in a lawsuit filed against the County relating to Ordinance 960.
Interested firms may review the solicitation on the County’s website (www.kauai.gov/finance), under the Division of Purchasing’s, “Solicitations, Addenda and Other Notices” page.
In conjunction with this solicitation, the County Attorney defines pro bono to mean “professional work undertaken voluntarily and without payment as well as donation of all related litigation and collateral costs and expenses, including but not limited to court costs, court reporter costs, travel and per diem expenses, copying expenses, legal research expenses, communication expenses, expert fees.”
Responses must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. Hawai‘i Standard Time on Thursday, January 30, 2014, in order to be considered.
Boy, they want a lot for their pro bono ! And they had better hop to it, too, by the 30th !
