REPORT FROM DC CLOTHESLINE – The British National Archives (BNA) is an executive agency of the government of the United Kingdom. Based in Kew in southwest London, the BNA is the UK government’s official archive, containing 1,000 years of history from Domesday Book to the present, with records from parchment and paper scrolls to digital files and archived websites, including Foreign Office and Colonial Office correspondence and files. The collections held by the BNA can be searched using their online catalogue. Entrance to the Archives is free.

On April 18, 2012, the BNA released the first batch of thousands of “lost” colonial-era files believed to have been destroyed, including files on Britain’s former colony of Kenya. Reporters at the UK’s The Guardian were among the first who looked at some of the newly released colonial files. They found that the name of Barack Obama (henceforth, Obama Sr.), the father of the POS in the White House, is on the top of a list of names revealed in a hitherto secret British colonial file of Kenyans studying in the United States.

But it’s not just UK journalists who can access the British National Archives; anyone can. In May 2012, someone conducted a search of the Archives using the search term “Obama” and found that an unnamed son of Obama Sr. was born in Kenya in 1961. Since the POS in the White House is the only known son of Obama Sr. born after 1960 and before 1963 when Kenya became officially independent from the UK, it is reasonable for us to conclude that the POS is that unnamed son of Obama Sr. born in Kenya in 1961. And in fact, the claimed birth date of the POS is August 4, 1961.

  1. WHO is the alleged "someone" who conducted the alleged "search?"

And, BTW, if there really were such records, don't you think that WND and other birther organizations would send their reporters to those files to see them and photograph them?

In short all that you have is an unnamed person CLAIMING that there are records in the files that show that Obama was born in Kenya. (Well, don't you think that unnamed sources lie from time to time??)

In contrast to this unnamed source, (1) the Kenyan government has said that it did an investigation of the "born in Kenya" story, and that it did not happen; (2) Birther sites LIED when they said that Obama's Kenyan grandmother said he was born in Kenya (she really said over and over that he was born in Hawaii "where his father was studying at the time", but birther sites simply refused to quote her and cut off the tape recordings on their sites just before she said "born in Hawaii"—I wonder why they did that??); (3) the Hawaii birth certificate and the confirmation of the officials of BOTH parties in Hawaii (including the former Republican governor of Hawaii, a strong supporter of Sarah Palin) and the public Index Data file and the birth notices sent to the Hawaii newspapers by the DOH of Hawaii in 1961 all show that Obama was born in Hawaii; (4) the US Immigration and Naturalization Service report for the year Obama was born shows that only 21 people TOTAL came to the USA from Kenya in that year, and that of the 21 all but one came by ship—-and there were no regular ships from Kenya to Hawaii at that time—-making the alleged trip by Obama and his mother most unlikely, to say the least.

SURE there is something in the British files. IF there were, there would be photos of it and the people who allegedly found it would have NAMES.

  2. Re: "I would like to see a copy of this because a citation is needed."

YES, a citation of whomever claims to have found the record in the British files is needed (and there isn't one) Nor is the document itself cited or shown (I wonder why not???)

However, if you are asking for me to cite documents, that is easy. Here, for example, is the US Immigration and Naturalization Service report for the year Obama was born:

    https://archive.org/stream/annualreportofim1962uni

Scroll down to page 74, about two-thirds of the way down in the book, and you will find the Kenya arrivals listing—there were only 21 arrivals.

On page 77, the same report shows the number of people who WENT to Kenya in fiscal 1961, and that shows that only 63 did (of whom 60 were Americans), and that of the 63 not a single person, not one, went by air. They ALL went by ship.

So, according to birther theory, Obama’s mother, in the last two months of pregnancy at the age of 18, was among the 60 Americans who went to Kenya by sea in fiscal 1961 and one of the seven Americans who came to the USA from Kenya in fiscal 1961, and again she traveled by sea (since no Americans came to the USA from Kenya by air).

There were, by the way, no normally scheduled direct ships from Kenya to Hawaii in 1961.

Here is the Kenyan Embassy statement that Obama WAS NOT BORN IN KENYA:

Here are the confirmations of the officials of BOTH parties in Hawaii, repeated confirmations (and by the way, the one to the secretary of state of Arizona, a conservative Republican, was ACCEPTED by the secretary of state of Arizona, who then put Obama on the ballot):
    https://www.obamaconspiracy.org/2013/01/heres-the-

Here is the confirmation by the former governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle, a Republican (and a friend of Sarah Palin’s), that says that Obama was born in Hawaii, in Kapiolani Hospital:
    https://voices.washingtonpost.com/right-now/2010/0

Here is the statement of the teacher who wrote home to her father, named Stanley, after being told of birth in Hawaii, in Kapiolani Hospital, of a child to a woman named Stanley:

Here are the birth notices of Obama's birth in the Hawaii newspapers in 1961:
    https://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/obamabi

(And as you can see the section of the paper is called "Health Bureau Statistics". Well, as the name indicates, and as both the papers and the DOH confirm, ONLY the DOH could send notices to that section of the paper, and it only did so for births IN Hawaii.)

Here is the Index Data file:

  3. Since the POS in the White House is the only known son of Obama Sr. born after 1960 and before 1963 when Kenya became officially independent from the UK, it is reasonable for us to conclude that the POS is that unnamed son of Obama Sr. born in Kenya in 1961.

  4. Obama was born in Hawaii. His father was born in Kenya (but not in 1961. In fact, it was in 1936 or 1937).

Obama's birth in Hawaii has been proven by: (1) his Hawaii birth certificate; (2) the repeated confirmation of their sending it to Obama and all the facts on it being the same as what they sent by the officials of BOTH parties in Hawaii; (3) the public Index Data file; (4) the birth notices sent to the Hawaii newspapers by the DOH of Hawaii in 1961 (and ONLY the DOH could send birth notices to that section of the papers, and it only did so for births IN Hawaii); (5) the Hawaii teacher who wrote home to her father, named Stanley, after hearing of the birth of a child to a woman NAMED STANLEY from the head of obstetrics at Kapiolani Hospital; (6) the INS inspector who checked on Obama's father's residence status and wrote: "They have one child, born in HONOLULU."
