Screen shot 2014-09-10 at 7.13.11 AM Hawai‘i Public Radio has scheduled a live gubernatorial forum on Monday, September 22nd, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm in the station’s Atherton Studio.

All four of the contenders for the office of Hawai‘i’s Governor, James “Duke” Aiona, Jeff Davis, Mufi Hanneman, and Sen. David Ige, have confirmed attendance.

The hour-long forum will be moderated by HPR’s political reporter Wayne Yoshioka and will be broadcast live across the state on HPR-1, as well as available for streaming from www.hawaiipublicradio.org.

The forum is free and open to the public; however, seats are extremely limited.

Reservations are required and may be made by calling HPR at (808) 955-8821 during business hours. The Atherton Studio is located at 738 Kaheka Street, across from the Honolulu Don Quijote.

Parking is available on the street, as well as in lots at the First Hawaiian Bank or the Pan Am Building on Makaloa Street.

HPR provides this opportunity for its listeners to hear the candidates’ positions on various issues of significance and thus make a more informed decision when casting their vote. Questions for the candidates may be submitted for consideration by HPR’s news department.

Suggested questions should be sent before September 22nd to news@hawaiipublicradio.org.
