Honolulu mayoral candidate Kirk Caldwell made it official this afternoon, filing his campaign paperwork with the City Clerk’s office.
A private attorney who served as Honolulu Managing Director under Mayor Mufi Hannemann, Caldwell is running against incumbent Mayor Peter Carlisle and former Gov. Ben Cayetano.
Caldwell was accompanied by supporters, including union members and officials who have overwhelmingly endorsed his candidacy.
He distributed copies of a campaign brochure, “A Roadmap For Our Future” to supporters and onlookers at City Hall.
Caldwell said he wants to bring a collaborative approach to governing the city.
He said he wants to “bring large and small businesses and the unions into the process of governing.”
The future on every human depends on how they will guide it. And they should have a good education so that they can have a nice work.
