  1. Wow! You three (including John Pritchett) have so many koa plate awards you could hold your own private luau and serve your guests on “Awards Conversation Plates”, he, he. “Who ordered the chicken long rice, lau lau, lomi salmon & kalua pig? Your food is ready on the “Matson surcharge investigation Award” plate”.

Congratulations on the much-deserved awards. Although IMHO, the “Spirit of Aloha” seems missing from the awards pic. Perhaps in future years each recipient could also receive a lei with the award, just to “sell the sizzle of the steak”. It would make the pic of such a special event more memorable up on your wall or desk. You stand tall in Hawaii’s field of distinguished journalists.

  2. Thanks Jayz43. We were thrilled with the awards from the Society of Professional Journalists. We are so lucky to have such great people like investigative reporter Jim Dooley and cartoonist John Pritchett sharing their talents with Hawaii Reporter readers!
