AFL All Star Game Announces Pre-Game Concert

HONOLULU – Local Hawaii Stars, Jordis Unga, Jasmine Trias and NESIAN N.I.N.E to headline the Official AFL All Star Football Pre Game Concert at the N. Blaisdell Arena on November 2, 2013 starting at 1:00pm.

Jordis Unga is a Minnesota bred, singer /songwriter currently based in Los Angeles. Gaining her first worldwide exposure after appearing on CBS’s hit TV show, “Rock Star: INXS.” Currently, Unga is coming off a red-hot ride on the number one rated TV show, “The Voice” where she quickly became a frontrunner. With eclectic musical influences, she is a versatile singer and performer who possesses an ability to move through different genres with ease. Her bluesy voice has the ability to move the soul and captivate the listener.

American Idol Season 3 Top 3 Finalist, Jasmine Trias returns home to Hawaii. This Filipino-American diva not only sings, she plays the ukulele, guitar and piano, along with training as a dancer in hip-hop and ballet. Trias’ debut album in 2005 sold an excess of 50,000 copies worldwide with Universal Records picking up the rights to distribute the recording in the Philippines where it went double platinum. She managed to swept up accolades a the Hawaii Music Awards and the PARIs (or Filipino music awards).

Hawaiian locals Nesian N.I.N.E. – Native Inna New Era. From reggae to R&B, soul ballads to old school, they’ll have a variety that everyone will enjoy. Nesian N.I.N.E. consists of their front four: Lauititi “LT” Togafau, James “Ziggy” Maika, Jeremy “Kainoa” Salave’a, and Billy “Tha Kidd” Faoa; and their band members: Eddie “Eddie Licks” Lafaele, Jr “StyXx” Lafaele, Travis “Buja” Alcos” and Rick Lepule. They have been together since June 2008.

Ganlan Media International (GMI) is a company created by Martin E. Judge, Jr. to introduce and launch professional American Arena Football teams in China. Following an extremely successful trip to Beijing, China, together with its Ganlan Media International partner, AFL Global LLC formally announced plans to further develop professional American Arena Football in China by Fall of 2014 – AFL CHINA. A comprehensive football training program was held in May 2013 in Beijing.

Training programs will be available to support and manage the expansion of AFL programs into many more Chinese cities after these inaugural initiatives. Full league play is planned in China for the Fall of 2014 with a combination of American and Chinese players comprising each professional team.
