AT&T Expands Mobile Broadband Coverage in Hawaii-New Cell Sites Activated on Kauai and Oahu as Part of Ongoing AT&T Investment in Local Wireless Network

HONOLULU — As part of its continuing network investment to support growing demand for advanced mobile devices and applications, AT&T* today announced the activation of two new 3G cell sites that will enhance coverage for Kauai and Oahu residents and businesses.

The new Kauai 3G cell site is enhancing coverage for Kekaha area residents and businesses. The area covered by the new 3G site includes Kekaha, Pokii, Kikiaola Small Boat Harbor and parts of Waimea Canyon Drive, Kokee Road and Kaumualii Highway (Hwy 50).

The new Oahu 3G cell site is enhancing coverage for Hickam area residents, businesses and military personnel. The area covered by the new 3G site includes the Hickam Air Force Base, Hickam Village, the Navy Exchange (NEX), Moanalua Shopping Center and the H1/Kamehameha Highway interchange.

The new cell sites are one part of AT&T’s ongoing efforts to drive innovation and extend its 3G wireless network
