CrimeStoppers and Honolulu Police Department Seek Hit and Run Driver

HONOLULU — CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a driver wanted for questioning for Failure to Render Aid.

On August 21, 2010, at approximately 3:00 a.m., two vehicles involved in a collision were stopped on the roadway on the H-1 Freeway westbound just before the Waipahu off ramp. One of the drivers, a 60-year-old male, exited his vehicle to approach the other driver. A third vehicle traveling westbound collided with the two stopped vehicles striking the male. The driver of the third vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The male was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The vehicle is described as being white in color with possible damages to the front driver’s side fender and passenger side panel.
