SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii – Emergency officials responded to a 911 call at 1:34 p.m., today, after receiving a report of a construction worker injured during a cinder block wall collapse at a construction site, here.
Officials from the City and County of Honolulu’s Emergency Services Department transported the contractor from the construction site to Wahiawa General Hospital, where the individual later passed away at 2:13 p.m.
The Army extends its heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of Foote Avenue and Heard Street, where Army contractor Nan Inc. is conducting barracks renovation of Quad D.
Military officials are investigating the incident.
