BY ROBERT PAUL REYES – A few weeks ago Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie, with much fanfare, vowed to end the Obama birth certificate controversy once and for all. He appeared before TV cameras, several times, promising to prove that Obama was born in Hawaii, to eliminate the controversy as a campaign issue in 2012.
A couple of days ago Gov. Abercrombie announced the results of his investigation:
“Officials in Hawaii have tracked down papers indicating that President Obama was indeed born in Hawaii.”
“Our investigations indicates there is a recording of his birth”
“It actually exists in the archives, written down”
Gov. Abercrombie`s doublespeak was met with skepticism and outright derision. If I discovered the proverbial “Fountain of Youth” I wouldn`t issue a press release stating: My search indicates there is a Fountain of Youth. I would invite the press to the miraculous site, and I would declare, “Eureka, here it is.”
Gov. Abercrombie has finally ended his quixotic quest (charade) to prove that Obama is the legitimate President of the United States. The governor used the excuse that the state Attorney General David Louie told him that it`s against state law to release private documents, including an individual`s birth documentation without the person`s consent.
The ball is back in Obama`s court: Release the birth certificate Obama.
In this article I have respectfully referred to the governor of Hawaii as “Gov. Abercrombie”, but I refuse to refer to Obama as “President Obama”, until he releases his birth certificate proving that he is the legitimate president.
Thank you Gov. Abercrombie, your attempt to end the “birther controversy” has guaranteed that Obama`s missing birth certificate will be the primary campaign issue in the 2012 presidential campaign.
Gov. Abercrombie dismisses those of us who are deeply concerned about the legitimacy of the Obama administration as fringe elements of the GOP. I`m a liberal columnist far to the left of Obama, there are multitudes of patriots of all political persuasions who are fed up with Obama`s refusal to release his birth certificate.
Release your birth certificate Obama!
