Call it the Neil-Mobile.

JN Automotive Chevrolet Suburban LTZ

Governor Neil Abercrombie has a new set of wheels, a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ leased from JN Automotive, similar to the model shown here.

Abercrombie press secretary Donalyn Dela Cruz said the vehicle was acquired after the lease on the previous governor’s car, an Infiniti SUV, ran out this month.

The car is valued at $42,895.68 and the lease payments run $844.72 per month for four years, said Dela Cruz.

That’s cheaper than the Infiniti, which cost the state $937.63 each month.

JN Automotive’s website says Suburban LTZ’s get between 15 and 21 miles per gallon of gasoline.

  1. With Abercrombie shooting off his mouth at budget costs and sacrifices, why not pay for this out of his own pocket? This does not add insurance to the mix does it?

Another poor example of his money Management.

  2. It’s missing its “Taxi Cab” dome light and the SUV’s color should be yellow.
