REPORT FROM THE NRA – The conference committee tasked with reconciling the House and Senate versions of Senate Bill 69 reached a decision last week, sending their recommended version back to both legislative chambers for approval.  Both chambers will vote on this bill tomorrow.

Introduced by state Senators Will Espero (D-19), Rosalyn Baker (D-6), Brickwood Galuteria (D-12) and Josh Green (D-3), SB 69 was originally a gun “buyback” bill, but was amended in the state House into a mandatory background check bill on already acquired firearms.

These amendments remain in the current conference committee version of the bill, so call your state Senator and Representative immediately and ask them to oppose Senate Bill 69!

It is critical that you contact your state Senator and Representative TODAY!  Urge them to OPPOSE Senate Bill 69 in any form.  Contact information for your state legislators can be found here.
