BY RICH GRAYBILL, RA – Hawaii Five-O continues to dominate TV airwaves Monday nights, and this week’s episode had some fantastic scenery of Oahu again.
The episode started off with an armored car heist which in subtitles said was in Waikiki, however, it looks like it was actually shot at the Neil Blaisdell Center in Kakaako.
The Five-O Team races to the piers near Downtown Honolulu to recover the vehicle in the water, and discover all the money was still in there…
They then got a lead from a computer IP address in a chiropractor’s office in Kaimuki where they discovered the crooks were blood doping, and most likely were some type of athletes.
The fingerprints that were pulled from the blood doping bags were from a thug in the Five-O database, which led them to an interrogation at Magic Island in Kakaako.
As the episode progressed, and it was becoming apparent who the real suspects were, they discovered they were renting a home in Kahala (which happens to be the most expensive real estate on the island).
Ironically, Danno’s ex happens to live there, and they end up using her place to stage their surveillance.
Here’s an example of a home in Kahala (MLS# 1007008) which is priced well at $2,350,000
After more digging, they discover the big heist will take place during a triathlon, which starts at Ala Moana Beach Park in Kakaako.
There were some incredible ariel shots taken from a helicopter featuring some great buildings such as One Waterfront Tower, Nauru Tower, Hawaiki Tower, and more…One of my favorites in the area is Nauru Tower.
