BY RICH GRAYBILL – This week’s episode of Hawaii 5-0started off at a high school football game being played by Kahuku.
This Ala Wai Plaza Skyrise condo (MLS# 1014296) overlooks the football game scene
For those of you that don’t know, Kahuku High School (on Oahu’s North Shore) has produced some amazing football teams, and players over recent years, many of which have gone on to the pros. Their real team name is the Red Raiders.
What I found interesting about this week’s episode is the football scene was shot at the school of the Iolani Red Raiders, who recently won the Div. II State Champs for the 4th year in a row. They have a phenomenal campus, stadium, and backdrop in the Kapiolani neighborhood, which is no surprise the film crew chose this location to shoot.
This Marco Polo Condo (MLS# 1007400) has great Ala Wai Canal, Waikiki, and ocean views!
Some of my favorite buildings in the Kapiolani area are Ala Wai Plaza Skyrise, Iolani Court Plaza, Marco Polo, and Royal Iolani.
Chin Ho Kelly chased down an old police friend after the initial shooting, which took place in the game. It turns out a Samoan gang was bringing guns through some east coast thugs that wanted to control illegal gambling in Hawaii. That led to set up an undercover sting at a luxury home in Hawaii Loa Ridge where the Five-O Team prevailed once again.
Here’s an example of a luxury home (MLS# 1015065) on Hawaii Loa Ridge
