Hawaii Representative is Vying for the Title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen

Orlando, FL  –  Hayley Cheyney Kane, 16, of Kaneohe, Hawaii will be among 52 of the country’s most talented, bright and beautiful young women, ages 13 to 17, in Orlando, FL to compete in the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen (MAOTeen) competition, the “little sister” to Miss America.  The competition will take place August 13-17, 2013 at the Linda Chapin Theater inside the Orange County Convention Center.

Promoting scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America’s teens, the MAOTeen contestants will be judged on personal interview, talent, evening wear, lifestyle & fitness in active wear, and on-stage question.

A student at Kamehameha Schools – Kapalama Campus, Kane will Hula to “Imagine” by Nohelani Cypriano for the talent portion of the MAOTeen competition. She is promoting being a role model through Girl Scouts as a platform issue throughout her year as Miss Hawaii’s Outstanding Teen 2013.

The contestants will be in Orlando from Saturday, August 10th through Saturday, August 17th for rehearsals and activities surrounding the pageant. They will visit Dave and Busters on Sunday, August 11th and Medieval Times on Monday, August 12th.  They will also participate in events such as the star-studded Evening of Stars Extravaganza and the MAOTeen College Fair, both to be held at the Rosen Centre Hotel, and will have several opportunities to train with professionals in the pageant and entertainment fields.

America’s Choice Voting HAS BEGUN!

In a joint effort with fourpoints magazine, the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization (MAOTeen) proudly announces the opportunity to vote for TWO semi-finalists in the 2013 Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, August 17, 2013.

This year, TWO of the semi-finalists for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2014 will be determined by the public. The winners of America’s Choice will also win a $1,000 scholarship provided by The Sash Company and Tony BowlsVoting began July 16, 2013 at 5pm ET!

$1 = 1 Vote

You can vote as many times as you wish or you can enter the full amount of votes that you wish to cast at one time. For example: $20.00 = 20 votes for your favorite contestant! The TWO contestants with the most votes will be named “America’s Choice” winners and will become TWO of the Top 12 Semi-Finalists on the final night of the 2013 Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant.
