The public’s responses to the following survey will help the Hawaii State Board of Education (Board) develop a competency and qualification profile to be used in selecting, developing, and evaluating a new superintendent for Hawaii public schools. The Board is responsible for the final establishment and approval of a competency profile. Your feedback will be a critical component of the Board’s deliberation.
It is the Board’s intention to seek the best balance between work experiences, education and preparation, personal qualities, role expectations of the superintendent, and the ability to respond to Hawaii’s educational needs.
All input is anonymous and confidential and is for the sole use of the Board. Input will be accepted until July 31, 2010. A report summarizing the public input will be provided at the September 2, 2010, Board meeting.
