The Hawaii Tax Foundation and Tom Yamachika educates and increases awareness of tax issues in Hawaii. This year alone, working with others, they saved tax payers millions of dollars of proposed tax increases.
Reg Baker and Tom Yamachika discuss the history of the Tax Foundation and what the Foundation focuses their efforts on. The Foundation’s work load is heavy when the leg is in session. Virtually every bill proposed has a cost of some kind which means more taxes to an already over taxed Hawaii community. Tom keeps an eagle eye on these ever-increasing costs and educates the elected individuals and Hawaii taxpayers on the “real” costs of these proposed bills.
