BY CONGRESSWOMAN MAZIE HIRONO, D-HAWAII – Today’s Supreme Court ruling is a victory for millions of Americans. I am proud to have worked with President Obama to expand access to affordable, quality health care coverage while protecting Hawaii’s Prepaid Health Care Act.
Unlike Ed Case or Republican Linda Lingle, I have stood firm in my support of this historic legislation.
It is telling that not one Republican Senator voted to pass the Affordable Care Act and the law’s repeal is one of the top priorities for both House and Senate Republican leadership.
The people of Hawaii deserve to know if Linda Lingle would follow her national Republican leadership in voting to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
These partisan antics are yet another example of just how important it is to make sure Hawaii’s next US Senator is someone who shares our Hawaii values.
