Help Build Niu Valley Playground by Participating in Foodland’s ‘Give Aloha’ Program

BY HONOLULU COUNCIL MEMBER STANLEY CHANG – This year the Niu Valley Community Association will be participating in Foodland’s Give Aloha program to help raise funds for the Niu ValleyPlayground.

The Nui Valley Community Association deserves the community’s deepest gratitude for taking the time to coordinate this project, which aims to provide a safe play area for the children of Niu Valley.

The Niu Valley Community Association has already raised $51,700 (of $100,000) for the proposed playground. The project is to be constructed in the Niu Valley Park off of Kanau Street adjacent to Niu Valley Middle School.

The Give Aloha Fundraiser runs from September 1-30 with donations for the Niu Valley Playground being accepted at all Foodland, Sack N Save and Foodland Farms stores statewide. To make a tax deductable donation present your Maika’i card at check out and inform the cashier you would like to donate to Niu Valley Playground, registration code 78660.

Store receipts are your only record of donation.
