Candidates for the Honolulu City Council District 4 seat will participate in a campaign forum at the Hawaii Kai Neighborhood Board on Tuesday, June 24, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hahaione Elementary School’s cafeteria.

The District 4 councilmember represents East Oahu from Waikiki to Hawaii Kai. The four candidates for the non-partisan position are Natalie Iwasa, Trevor Ozawa, Carl Strouble, and Tommy Waters.

Each candidate will be on the August 9 primary election ballot. If one candidate receives a majority of the total votes cast in the primary (excluding blank and overvotes), that person will be deemed elected. Otherwise, the two with the greatest number of votes in the primary will advance to the November 4 general election.

The last day to register for the primary election is July 10. Early Walk-in Voting for the primary is July 28 through August 7.

A forum for legislative candidates in Districts 17 and 18, who this year have no primary challengers, will be held during a future neighborhood board meeting.
