For the week of April 1, 2013 to April 7, 2013, Honolulu’s total number of residential photovoltaic (PV) permits issued was 580, up 114.8% from the previous week and up 166.1% from the same period last year. Year-to-date (YTD), Honolulu’s total number of residential PV permits reached 3,502, a 60.7% increase from the same period last year.
In this week, Honolulu’s total value of residential PV permits was $19.8 million, up 130.1% from the previous week and up 191.1% from the same period last year. YTD, Honolulu’s total value of residential PV permits reached $108.5 million, a 54.3% increase from the same period last year.
In the current week, the average value of residential PV permits was about $34,100. This value is higher than the average value in the previous week ($31.800), and also higher than the average value in the same period last year ($31,200).
· Commercial PV Permits
For the week of April 1, 2013 to April 7, 2013, Honolulu issued 9 commercial PV permits, higher than the 6 permits issued in the previous week and also higher than the 4 permits issued during the same period last year. YTD, Honolulu’s total numbers of commercial PV permits reached 92, a 119.0% increase from the same period last year.
In this week, Honolulu’s total value of commercial PV permits was $3.6 million, up 315.2% from the previous week, and up 41.1% from the same period last year. YTD,Honolulu’s total value of commercial PV permits reached $31.7 million, a 41.1% increase from the same period last year.
In the current week, the average value of commercial PV permits was about $397,400, which is higher than the average value in the previous week ($143,600) but lower than the average value in the same period last year ($633,800).
