REPORT FROM HOSPICE HAWAII– Hospice Hawaii’s Pediatric Program recently received donations from Eden in Love as a beneficiary of the boutique’s Giving Tree promotion. For a week during the holidays, shoppers chose a wish from the tree and made a donation towards that item, receiving a store discount in return.

Thanks to generous shoppers, Eden in Love donated art therapy supplies, disposable cameras, a gift certificate for film processing, jewelry making kits, and a video camera.

“These items will go a long way to help our pediatric patients and their families with therapy,” explained Dianne Fochtman, a Hospice Hawaii pediatric nurse practitioner.

“For example, we will give the disposable cameras to our pediatric patients and siblings to take pictures of a specific theme – such as love, friends, what makes you happy, or what inspires you – and then help them work through their feelings using those pictures.”
