The Annual Hawaii Yacht Club Christmas Boat Parade will take place on Saturday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m. all throughout the Ala Wai Harbor. Over 20 boats will depart from their individual slips and motor throughout the harbor and pass Waikiki, displaying their Holiday Festival of Lights and decorations.

The entire local community is invited to the festive floating light show visible from the Hawaii Yacht Club, Magic Island or their other favorite viewing areas around the Ala Wai.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be docking at the Aloha Dock of the Hawaii Yacht Club after the parade and a wonderful buffet will be enjoyed by participants and guests, along with prizes being awarded to the top winning boats in each category.

Children are invited to come and sit on Santa’s lap and receive a special gift. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to support the Marine Toys for Tots Annual campaign.

All boat owners are invited to enter to participate in the parade by December 7 for a $25 registration fee. A mandatory skippers meeting for entrants will be at HYC lower deck for final briefing on December 12 at 6 p.m. For more information or to register your boat, please call 944-9666 or visit www.HawaiiYachtClub.org.

  1. I love what they did with the yacht. It is radiant with the spirit of the season. Christmas in Hawaii is something. Though there is no snow, the tropical setting is also heart-warming.

  2. I just heard that one of the Acapulco 40 Sailboats I had produced is visiting HYC right now (12/24/14) and was wondering the boat's name and who it is. I am a former HYC member now living in Portland.
