The Hawaii Judicial Selection Commission has released the names of six candidates selected to possibly fill the vacancy left by Hawaii Supreme Court Judge Simeon Acoba’s retirement.
They include:
- Derrick H.M. Chan
- Jeffrey Crabtree
- Craig H. Nakamura
- Richard Perkins
- John M. Tonaki
- Michael D. Wilson
The names of nominees and their backgrounds have been presented to the governor for his review. Once the governor selects a nominee, that nominee will go before the Senate for confirmation.
