REPORT FROM KAUAI POLICE DEPARTMENT – KALALAU – A man suspected of seriously injuring a Japanese visitor yesterday afternoon in Kalalau is being sought by police for questioning.
Per a witness account, the woman was thrown from a cliff.
Police are looking for Justin Wynn Klein, age 37, whose last known address is in Kīlauea.
Klein is described as a Caucasian male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, with brown hair in a Mohawk haircut, possibly a moustache and a beard, and a tribal band tattoo on his left arm.
Klein is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
The victim, age 31, was airlifted late Sunday afternoon near Kalalau Beach by the Kaua’i Fire Department’s Air 1.
She was flown to Wilcox Memorial Hospital for treatment, where she is currently in critical condition.
The Kaua’i Police Department, along with the state Department of Land and Natural Resources, have restricted access today to Kalalau via the Kē‘ē beach trailhead to allow for a full investigation.
Anyone with information on Klein’s whereabouts should contact KPD immediately at 241-1711.

You can bet this dude has shaved off that mohawk by now so in that case be on the lookout for a haole with a shaved head and a white, untanned strip down the middle of his head..
