By Janayhe Self – On behalf of the Hawaii Kai chamber of Commerce,  I am excited to announce a new location for our next networking luncheon. We will be hosting this important 2 hour educational seminar in the Queens Beach Restaurant at the Hawaii Kai Golf Course.

I’d like to acknowledge the leaders of HMAA for their efforts and all that they are doing to share and educate everyone, that will be effected by the new proposed Affordable Healthcare Act. This dramatic change will affect individuals as well as small businesses, and how they appropriate additional coverages, costs, and filings for all under the act.   We urge you to bring the executives from your company to receive this information, and to ask questions.

This is not all that we have to look forward to, in Hawaii. Big changes are under way for our amazing islands. Several new Real Estate projects are underway,  There are more technology and energy innovations to be explored. Record number’s of visitors are creating a bridge in our islands economy.

According to the HTA recent report, summer visitor spending continues to exceed expectations, up 7 % from last year at this time. No matter how it may currently appear, we  must remember that we are fortunate to have such a desirable foundation to build from, and the interest of many global businesses. Stability and flexibility are key’s for all of us. We  look forward to shaking hands and exchanging ideas on how to make our businesses  more prosperous.   I hope to see you at our next event.
Janayhe Self is the Hawaii Kai Chamber President
