While U.S. Senate Candidate Linda Lingle has been busy campaigning and fundraising around the state, a hungry thief broke into her Hilo campaign headquarters.
Corrie Heck, a spokesperson for Lingle’s campaign, confirmed Lingle’s Hilo headquarters was burglarized last night.
The thief – or thieves – took food left there for volunteers as well as a television and a drill and some chargers.
The campaign filed a report with the Hawaii County Police Department, Heck said.
Lingle is a former Republican governor and candidate for U.S. Senate running. She will face off against Congresswoman Mazie Hirono, D-HI, on November 6.
