REPORT FROM MAZIE HIRONO’S U.S. SENATE CAMPAIGN — Enthusiastic supporters filled the halls of the Nimitz Center in Iwilei for today’s grand opening of U.S. Senate candidate Mazie Hirono’s Oahu campaign headquarters.
“I’m grateful and humbled by today’s turnout as it shows that people understand what’s at stake and know that this truly is their campaign,” said Hirono. “All across the state, island families have joined our campaign because they know we need a senator who’s going to make getting our economy back on track, protecting our kupuna, and making our schools stronger a top priority.”
The grand opening celebration featured an announcement by the Hawaii Fire Fighters Association formally endorsing Mazie Hirono’s candidacy for United States Senate.
“I’m honored Hawaii’s fire fighters have placed their trust and support in me. As a senator, I will fight to make sure these heroes in our own community have the resources they need to keep protecting our homes and families,” said Hirono.
The 2,800 member Hawaii Fire Fighters Association endorsement is the latest in a list of close to 20 Hawaii and national organizations that have announced their strong support for Mazie.
Mazie Hirono has long been an advocate for creating well-paying jobs, strengthening our education system, and building a more energy and food sustainable Hawaii. Mazie will continue to fight to protect our keiki, our working families, and our kupuna.
The Mazie for Hawaii headquarters on Oahu is located at 1130 North Nimitz Highway, Suite C-230, behind New Eagle Café. Anyone who wants to volunteer can call (808) 536-3292 or send an email to info@mazieforhawaii.com. Additional pictures of the event can be found at www.mazieforhawaii.com.
