Navy League Golf Tournament Set for August 31

REPORT FROM THE NAVY LEAGUE  – The 9th Annual Navy League Golf Tournament will take place on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Mamala Bay Golf Course located on the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The event is presented by SAIC and hosted by the Honolulu Council of the Navy League and the Veterans United Foundation with proceeds benefitting the local programs Navy League Sea Cadets and Wounded Warriors.

“The Navy League is honored to be able to host this golf tournament every year because it helps fund important organizations that support youth programs and soldiers wounded in combat within the local community,” shared David Livingston, Navy League President. “It’s great to see people come together for a good time and a good cause.”

Forty Wounded Warriors and military dignitaries have been invited to participate in this year’s tournament. Last year’s event welcomed 140 players to the Klipper Golf Course on Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe Bay.

Individual golfers are $150 each or teams of 3 are $450 each. Cost includes green fees, cart, lunch, refreshments, buffet dinner and prizes. Sponsorship opportunities are available: Prize Sponsor, Hole Sponsor $500, Bronze Level $1,000, Silver Level $2,500, and Gold Level $5,000. Check in is at 10:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Entry deadline is Monday, August 20, 2012.
