Canton Dim Sum restaurant

Pork hash, shrimp dumplings, custard tarts … is your mouth watering yet? If you’re craving dim sum but don’t want to venture into the hustle and bustle of Chinatown, there is a great new option at Market City Shopping Center in Kaimuki.

Canton Dim Sum restaurant is now open next to T-Mobile, in the space formerly occupied by G. Sushi.

Savvy restaurant owners Gerald and Grace Chen are intent on providing a quality experience in their newest venture at Market City. The Chens have brought in a chef from China’s Guangdon Province to create a special menu that offers Hawaii residents authentic Canton cuisine.

While Canton Dim Sum doesn’t offer cart-style service, you can order dim sum whenever they are open, even for breakfast. Simply place your order at the counter and take your dim sum to go, or have a seat in the dining area. The hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. For takeout orders, call (808) 735-1688.

Market City Shopping Center, located at 2919 Kapiolani Boulevard, is Hawaii’s oldest, family-owned shopping center – celebrating its 65th anniversary of serving the Kaimuki, Kapahulu and Moiliili communities. Opened in 1948, Market City Shopping Center is home to 24 tenants, including the state’s first Foodland Super Market and anchor tenants, HouseMart’s Ben Franklin Crafts and Fun Factory. 1. I love this place! Excellent costumer service and amazing dim sum! I'm so glad I stopped by Tuesday to check it out. My new favorite place for quick, great priced, Chinese food.
