President Barack Obama made a guest appearance on a recent taping of Comedy Central’s Colbert Report.

During the interview with host Stephen Colbert, Obama defended his economic record and his executive actions on immigration. He also discussed his delayed decision on the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

“if we look at this objectively, we’ve got to make sure that it’s not adding to the problem of carbon and climate change because, you know, these young people are going to have to live in a world where we already know temperatures are going up,” the president said. “And Keystone is a potential contributor to that, we have to examine that.”

In discussing everyday life, Obama said there are “no trumpets” when he returns home from the office, and that his wife Michelle – along with his daughters – jokingly tease him. This was the president’s third appearance on the show, and his second as president.
