HONOLULU — Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship at UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business to host ‘conversation’ with AOL co-founder Steve Case
The 21st Kipapa i ke Ala Lecture: A Conversation with Steve Case will take place from 5:00-6:15 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Ala Moana Hotel Hibiscus Ballroom.
The UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business’ Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (PACE) will host the 21st Kipapa i ke Ala Lecture, “A Conversation with Steve Case,” on the evening of Monday, November 1. Case will first interview with PACE Executive Director Susan Yamada, and then answer questions from the audience.

Steve Case launched Revolution, a company that seeks to drive transformative change by shifting power to consumers, in April 2005. Revolution’s mission is to partner with entrepreneurs in building businesses that give people more choice, control and convenience in important areas of their lives.
Prior to starting Revolution, Case was the Chairman and CEO of America Online, Inc., and later, Chairman of AOL Time Warner. As the co-founder of AOL, Case played an integral role in building the world’s largest Internet company and helped transform how people communicate, learn and conduct business.
The Kipapa i ke Ala lectures are sponsored by the Emmett R. Quady Foundation and Kamakura Corp. and coordinated by PACE. This series of lectures was created in 2001 to help us understand how our state may benefit from the fast-paced changes in the worldwide marketplace. Kipapa i ke Ala translates into “paving the way,” which is a befitting title for the lectures that bring the best and brightest from the world of international business to share their knowledge with students, faculty and members of the greater Hawaii community.
