HONOLULU – The newly opened Park Restaurant has named Dante Camara as Manager. Previously the manager at Hoku’s restaurant at The Kahala Hotel & Resort, Camara brings an extensive and storied career in restaurant management to his new position at Park.

Camara grew up in Honolulu and later spent his college years in Rhode Island attending Johnson and Wales University and graduating with a degree in both culinary and food science management. After graduation, he began his career learning skills of his trade in Boston at the Four Seasons followed by the Union Pacific restaurant and Café Boulud in New York City. Throughout his career, Camara operated and worked for some of the world’s most renowned restaurants and chefs including Daniel Boulud (a James Beard winner) and Rocco DiSpirito. In 2010, Camara returned to Hawaii as the manager of award-­‐winning Hoku’s.

“I feel very honored to be a part of the team at Park,” says Camara. “We have a great group who is genuinely passionate about serving the guests who come through our door. We want our guests to feel like they are visiting friends when they come here, and they are always welcome back.”

In 2012, Camara was named Hawaii Hospitality Magazine’s Outstanding Hospitality Food and Beverage Professional.

Park is opened nightly seven days a week. Dinner is served in the main dining room until 10:00 p.m. The bar serves small plates and appetizers until 11:00 p.m. and cocktails until midnight.

The restaurant is located at 2885 Kalakaua Avenue and serves dinner seven nights a week from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., small plates and appetizers in the bar until 11:00 p.m. and cocktails until midnight.
