BY GARY FITZGERALD, REDSKINS.COM – The Redskins have released quarterback Colt Brennan, the team announced on Monday, August 2, 2010.
Brennan’s release comes on the heels of the Redskins’ acquisition of quarterback John Beck from the Baltimore Ravens.
Brennan appeared to be really struggling in Redskins training camp. He was returning to action after missing the entire 2009 season due to hip and hamstring injuries.
Brennan arrived in Washington as a sixth-round draft pick (186th overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft.
With his engaging personality, he quickly became one of the more popular Redskins even though he was a backup.
He played well in the 2008 preseason and served as the Redskins’ third quarterback the entire year.
