HONOLULU – PKF Pacific Hawaii LLP announced today that Reg Baker, CPA PFS, has joined the firm as a Partner and is charged with leading its tax and accounting practices. He started work on October 1.
An expert in personal financial planning and business advisory services, Baker brings to PKF Pacific Hawaii more than 25 years of accounting experience in a range of industries. He has either served as an executive or provided counsel to companies in Hawaii and on the mainland U.S. in health care, aviation, banking, real estate development, manufacturing, and professional services.

Baker most recently served as Executive Vice President, COO, CFO and Treasurer for the Hawaii Medical Assurance Association (HMAA) the past four years. His professional background also includes serving as President and CEO of Pendleton Financial Services from 1991-2001, which, at the time, was the largest locally owned tax preparation and accounting firm in Hawaii.
A strong believer in community service, Baker has volunteered his time on numerous boards for Hawaii nonprofits and business organizations throughout his career. His current responsibilities include serving as Chair of the Small Business and Entrepreneur Committee for the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, Chair of Junior Achievement Hawaii, and as an Advisory Board Member for the University of Hawaii’s Shidler College of Business Executive MBA program in Healthcare.
