OUR PROBLEM:

The residents and visitors of Maui have a health care crisis because our current hospital, Maui Memorial Medical Center (MMMC), is out of date, lacks many important services and is poorly run. This is a state run hospital that has not been kept up to date. A visiting physician recently compared MMMC to hospitals found in third world countries.

The quality of life of Maui residents and visitors are severely jeopardized because of this situation. The doctors on Maui are leaving because they want to practice medicine where they can be confident in the medical facilities where they admit patients. They have lost that confidence in Maui.

OUR SOLUTION:

A new second, privately funded hospital, Malulani, has been proposed and has applied for a Certificate of Need (CON). This new hospital would provide the following
