SCHOFIELD BARRACKS – U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii will host a July Fourth celebration, here, for military members and their families to pay tribute to their contributions in the defense of freedom.
“We owe our service members a debt of gratitude for their sacrifices, and we’re glad the majority are now home to enjoy the freedoms they’ve fought for, and celebrate together with their families,” said Col. Richard Fromm, commander, U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii.
Because of Schofield’s field capacity and safety concerns, the event will be open to Department of Defense ID cardholders. This includes include military members, their families, military retirees, DoD civilian employees, and their authorized guests.
“Ensuring safety and security on our installations is always the Army’s top priority, and maintaining the safety, capacity and security at a large event like this is absolutely critical,” Fromm said.

this is propaganda.since 9/11 there has been a decrease of freedom in America due to US militarism especially overseas. And wars do not protect the lives of civilians. The notion that soldiers are dying for us is false. Non-combatants are the main victims of war. According to the American Journal Of Public Health, 85-90% of war's casualties are civilians (june 2014 issue).Unfortunately,the death of soldiers fighting the " War on Terrorism" are a small part of the human and economic costs.And within the borders of the USA, we are becoming more and more a police state.law enforcement has become heavily armed and militarized.more and more Americans are being killedby local law enforcement. The US military has caused blowbacks in countries they have invaded in the middle east and have angered millions of people in the middle east alone.they have created more enemies against us.
